Biodiversity and the Australian Museum

One of the primary roles of scientists at the Australian Museum is to investigate and understand aspects of Australia's biodiversity. Together with scientists at other institutions, our scientists collect and collate Australia's animal and plant species, and research how these species interact with their environment. Museum scientists use this knowledge to assist governments and corporations make well informed decisions about our environment.
