Australian Museum Evolutionary Biology Unit

The Thylacine Project

Early in 1999 the Australian Museum decided to explore the possibility of cloning the Thylacine using a specimen in their possession.

With the help of The Rheuben Griffiths Trust and the Garvan Institute, the Evolutionary Biology Unit has commenced the initial work on the thylacine project.
