Darwin's Sawbelly
A Darwin's Sawbelly Gephyroberyx darwinii from the Australian Museum Fish Collection (AMS E.3312). This fish was trawled at a depth of 820 m, south of Eucla, Great Australian Bight, May 1913. Note the small scales, large scutes along the belly and spine on the operculum.
