Felicity Roos worked in the Fish Department for six weeks during September and October 2005.
She sorted fishes from the catches of 69 plankton samples made during a week of sampling in the Hunter River during August, 2005. The collections were made in collaboration with the Department of Infrastructure and Natural Resources, Newcastle. The fieldwork was undertaken, often in very cold and windy conditions, by A. Hay, M. Lockett, S. Randall, T. Trnski and other assistants. They spent long hours working aboard the Australian Museum's research vessel Baragula.
Felicity began work in the Department by spending six months as a volunteer.
