Clinton Duffy is a scientist in the Marine Conservation Unit, Department of Conservation, New Zealand.

Clinton is working on the taxonomy and conservation status of New Zealand’s deepwater Dogfishes. The common name 'Dogfishes' generally refers to sharks in the family Squalidae.

He visited the Australian Museum on 24 October 2005 to examine the holotypes of Centrophorus harrissoni (Harrisson's Dogfish - AMS E.5570) and Centrophorus scalpratus (Endeavour Dogfish - AMS E.5211).
