On 25 January 2005, long-time visiting researcher Dr Hiroyuki Motomura temporarily left the Australian Museum to spend two months working with OzFishNet members, Peter Last and Alastair Graham at CSIRO Marine Research Laboratories, Hobart. Hiro will be working on sharks and rays.

After leaving CSIRO he will return to Japan for one month, then travel to Taiwan to attend the 7th Indo-Pacific Fish Conference.

He returns to the Australian Museum on May 22.
