Hans Ho is a Ph.D. student at the Research Centre for Biodiversity of Academia Sinica, Taiwan.

Hans is studying the taxonomy of Batfishes (family Ogcocephalidae), deepsea Anglerfishes and Coffinfishes (family Chaunacidae).

He has spent the last four months traveling to museums in Europe and America where he has examined many specimens, including types. During his stay in Australia, Hans is spending nine days at the Australian Museum (arrived on 30 October 2006), followed by work in the fish collections at the Northern Territory Museum and Queensland Museum.
