Will Trueman was a founding member of Native Fish Australia and for many years worked in the aquaculture industry. He now teaches in Cairns, Queensland.

Will is preparing a report on the historic distribution of the endangered Trout Cod in the Murray-Darling River system for Native Fish Australia (Inc.). Utilising old records, photographs and oral history Will is developing a map of the distribution of the Trout Cod and describing its historic decline.

He visited the Australian Museum in January 2008 to examine old specimens.
