snails and sea-slugs: molluscs

Marionia

Marionia sp. The tritoniids are a family of nudibranchs which feed exclusively on soft-corals. Most species have a series of gills down each side of the body. This unnamed species from eastern Australia is well camouflaged, the orange body and white gills matching the orange stalk and white polyp animals of the soft-corals (20mm).
