Christine Crowther

Christine Crowther, Volunteer, Mammals.

Christine has been a volunteer in the Mammal section one day a week for the past seven years. She has always been interested in mammals but decided to start doing voluntary work at the Museum while her son was studying for his science degree at the University of New South Wales. Christine performs extremely valuable work in the section by assisting with registration and general curation of specimens.

Moira Dean

Moira has had a life long interest in museums. As a four-year-old she was fascinated when her grandmother took her on a tour of the great museums of Europe. She is a founding member of The Australian Museum Society (TAMS) and has been a volunteer at the Museum for 30 years, or as she says "for more years than she cares to remember". In 2002, she was given an award for recognition of her long years of service. Moira provides extremely valuable assistance with general curation of the Mammal collection.
